October 15 Update
We have received an update from Loyalist Township and are pleased to share it.
Increased capacities for Spectators. A maximum of
350 Spectators are now permitted in the arena stands.
All Spectators must still be screened, provide contact information, and provide proof of vaccination and proof of identification (12+ yrs) as directed by the Provincial Government.
Loyalist Minor hockey will be updating its screening process to reflect these changes.
Permission for individuals to bring food and beverage into the facility. Please note, Spectators are required to be seated and distanced to remove their masks while consuming food and beverage. Otherwise, the requirement to wear a mask is still strictly required.
Facility users may enter the facility twenty (20) minutes prior to their group’s booking and must exit the facility twenty (20) minutes following the ice time.
Loyalist Minor Hockey is now required to check for proof of vaccination and proof of identification for all individuals attending their times during the week. Teams are to arrange for coverage of their team checks.
Loyalist Township will have a door checker onsite to assist with games over the weekends. Loyalist staff have been working hard to monitor the regulations and implement changes based on them along with our facility layout. We will continue to move forward and implement changes where and when possible, and we appreciate everyone’s understanding and patience as we continue to work through the pandemic. Please be reminded that every facility is different and must try to work within their means as these regulations continuously change.
These new protocols come into effect immediately, and Loyalist Township will have staff onsite this weekend to assist with vaccination checks. If you have any questions regarding the updates, do not hesitate to reach out to a member of the executive or Township staff.
Thank you for your continued support...we are getting there!
Stay safe!
