LTMHA is excited to announce our first ever Loyalist Township Minor Hockey Graduating Athlete Bursary

The Loyalist Township Minor Hockey Graduating Athlete Bursary is to provide recognition for individuals who have demonstrated a dedicated work ethic, proven leadership and community involvement.  The bursary will help the successful applicant with financial assistance to help off-set the high cost of post-secondary education.  Bursary amount may be divided to accommodate successful applicants.  Bursary amounts are subject to change based on available funding. 

 

Eligibility:

  • Must have played a minimum of five (5) years with Loyalist Township Minor Hockey 
  • Must be in good standing with Loyalist Township Minor Hockey 
  • Attending post-secondary school upon high school graduation/completion (open to students in grade 12 or students who have chosen to complete an additional year of high school)
  • Maintain a high standard of academic excellence and attendance

 

How to apply: 
Complete the application form and submit requested documents by June 30, 2025 


Requested documents:

  • Copy of High School transcript (up to date)
  • Copy of post-secondary acceptance letter
  • One-page signed letter from candidate outlining their contributions to LTMHA and what the game has meant to them, can also include other information such as community and volunteer involvement 
  • Two (2) letters of reference one (1) from School Faculty (i.e. Teacher, guidance counsellor, administrator), one (1) from community individual – (i.e. Coach, Employer, Volunteer Coordinator) 

LTMHA will announce successful candidates no later than August of current academic year upon receiving proof of enrollment via official documentation from the registrar.  Payment will be made directly to the recipient. Each applicant will be reviewed by the Bursary Committee.  All decisions made by the Bursary Committee are final.
