Mandatory Courses

Parents:
A parent or guardian for every player needs to complete 
Respect in Sport for Parents.

Bench Staff:
Regardless of the position on the bench staff, all positions (Head Coach, Assistant Coach, Trainer (and Manager if they will be on the bench) need some mandatory certifications and some need specific qualifications. LTMHA will reimburse for all courses that require payment. Please keep your receipts for these courses and once you complete all of the necessary ones for your positions, please email them (in one email) to our 
Treasurer and they will reimburse you for the cost.

Mandatory for ALL – Head Coach, Assistant Coaches, Trainer and Manager:

1. Background Check/Vulnerable Sector Check (remember to upload the result as a document under your Spordle profile using the "other" option)

2. Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders - Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders

3. Safe Sport Training - Safe Sport (coach.ca)

4. Gender Identity and Expression course –  Gender Identity and Expression Course (OHF)


Head/Assistant Coach Qualifications (age and level specific):

Hockey University Online -  Coach1/Coach 2 - required for all coaches

Hockey University Online - Coach 1 – Intro to Coach (after Coach 1/Coach 2) - required for IP, U8 and U9 Coaches

Hockey University Online - Coach 2 (after Coach 1/Coach 2) - required for U11 Rep Head Coach and U11 LL and up coaches

Hockey University Online - Development 1 - required for U13 Rep and above coaches


Trainer:

Hockey Trainers Course - HTCP 1 - required for all trainers


OMHA identifies the minimum requirement for qualifications based on the age and level of a team - Rep or Local League (LL).  LTMHA also requires bench staff to complete the SafeSport Training course.
