LOYALIST JETS TOP GUN TOURNAMENT RULES


All teams need to sign in on the ipad before each game at our tournament office which will be located upstairs of the WJ Henderson arena, this includes all members of each teams staff. (ipads will be in the time keepers box at Centre 70 and the Memorial Centre)


This is an OMHA sanctioned tournament in which OMHA and OHF rules apply. An OMHA representative will be available during the tournament to answer any questions regarding OMHA policies and procedures.


Guarantee of 4 games (1 U16 team will play 4 round robin games while the rest play 3.  The team that plays 4 RR games will be allowed to select any 1 game to remain, while the other 3 games will be placed in a draw where 1 game will be pulled and removed from their standings)
U15 - all teams will play 4 round robin games with the top 4 teams playing in the semis
u16 - will have the first place team receive a bye to the semis while the other 7 play a quarterfinal. 


2 minute warmup to start each game


Game length is three 10 minute periods (50 minute ice time per game - game to be curfewed at 50 minutes)
Finals period lengths will be 10/10/15 - no flood


Hand shakes will happen at the beginning of all games


1 time out allowed per team (only in semi finals and championship games)


Teams must have 2 sets of jerseys (home white/light and road dark)


No overtime or shootout during round robin.  A 3 person shootout will occur during the semi final and final if needed.  If no winner after the 3 people, continue 1 for 1 until there is a winner.  The same shooter may not shoot twice until all other shooters have gone.


In the Semi-Finals or Finals, the home team shall be the team with the most points during the round robin.

If 2 or more teams have the same number of points, the tie breaking rules below shall apply. 

TIE BREAKER RULES;

1)Head to Head Winner of the game between the two teams.

2)Best goals for/goals against differential (+/-)

3)Fewest penalty minutes

4)Coin flip


Winner of each game is awarded 3 points, a tie is worth 1 point, a loss is 0 points


Player of the game award (1 per team, per game) decided by opposing team


Medals will be awarded on ice after the final game

Team officials are responsible for their players and parent's conduct both on and off the ice.
