LOYALIST JETS U9 MD/SELECT TOURNAMENT RULES
All teams need to sign in on the ipad before each game at our tournament office which will be located upstairs of the WJ Henderson arena, this includes all members of each teams staff.
This is an OMHA sanctioned tournament in which OMHA and OHF rules apply. An OMHA representative will be available during the tournament to answer any questions regarding OMHA policies and procedures.
Guarantee of 4 games
2 minute warmup to start each game
Game length is three 10 minute periods
Hand shakes will happen at the beginning of all games
1 time out allowed per team (championship games only)
Teams must have 2 sets of jerseys (home white/light and road dark)
No overtime or shootout during round robin. A 5 minute 3 on 3 OT will occur during the finals followed by a person shootout if needed. Shootout will be 3 shooters (chosen prior to the game - give to timekeeper, if no winner after the 3 people, continue 1 for 1 until there is a winner. The same shooter may not shoot twice until all other shooters have gone.
In finals, the home team shall be the team with the most points during the round robin.
If 2 or more teams have the same number of points, the tie breaking rules below shall apply.
TIE BREAKER RULES;
1)Head to Head Winner of the game between the two teams.
2)Best goals for/goals against differential (+/-)
3)Fewest penalty minutes
4)Coin flip
Winner of each game is awarded 3 points, a tie is worth 1 point, a loss is 0 points
Player of the game award (1 per team, per game) chosen by your team in change room after the game
Medals will be awarded on ice after the final game
Team officials are responsible for their players and parent's conduct both on and off the ice.
