SEPTEMBER 17th Update

Thank you for your patience as we move back into the new normal. We had four priorities as this season started.

The first was to develop an entry plan that would allow us to screen all participants and to make this as smooth as possible. Based on the first two nights we are getting great cooperation and our screening is at 100% compliance using our online tracking. A few reminders on this, please get in the habit of doing your screening as you are leaving your house as it will make entry at the rink much quicker and smoother. Please remember not to do your screening ahead of that time as it does not meet the guidelines set our for us. Finally make sure you enter a correct phone number.

Our second priority was to get the kids on the ice as safely and as soon as possible. This process has started. The process was well done last night. Please remember that one companion per participant up to and including U13 and to leave the arena directly after the ice time is over. The exit staging area is not for undressing but just for removing skates. Parents are reminded to social distance in the viewing locations.

Our third priority was to place players in appropriate skill/age groups. This will be an ongoing process as we move towards stage two. Over the next few weeks we will be moving towards forming teams for specific playing pods. Given our numbers this will be a challenging process but we ask for you cooperation in not making requests to play with friends, make new friends!

Finally we hope to establish a group of volunteers at each level who will eventually take charge of the screening. We have started to develop a list and will eventually get to you as the start up process has been unlike any other year. Training will be provided and we believe that with everyone's cooperation we will have a great year.
