December Update
This past weekend we were
audited by one of our governing bodies and several items need improvement as we
move forward. With the COVID numbers increasing in the area, we may find ourselves progressing into the orange or red zone which will likely present additional challenges. A reminder that as part of our return to play approval established protocols must be followed. Safety for all is part of keeping our programs going.
- Some participants entered the facility 25 minutes before ice times. We are asking the Recreation Attendants to ensure the doors are locked until 15 minutes before the ice time for all assigned groups
- Players showing up not dressed in their gear will be denied entrance to the arena. This only seems to be an issue in the U15 and U18/21 groups
- Players who do not come masked will be asked to wait outside until a mask can be provided by the greeter
- Players may not remove their masks until they enter the ice surface
- Players and parents MUST apply to the 2 metre rule to ensure social distancing. There are clearly identified numbers for players to ensure proper social distancing.
- Please remember to fill out your COVID entry screening in full. Single names or a player numbers are not suitable for identification purposes.
As we approach 10,000 screenings we ask for renewed effort as we move towards 2021.
