OMHA COVID 19 POLICY UPDATED SEPTEMBER 15
Submitted By Paul Proderick on Friday, September 3, 2021
Yesterday, the Government of Ontario announced details regarding the requirement for Proof of Vaccination including an exemption relating to youth under 18 years of age actively participating in indoor organized sport applies to training, practices, games and competitions.

In light of this announcement, the OMHA Board of Directors will be meeting to review the OMHA Vaccination Policy and will provide an update by Monday, September 20, 2021.

Until that time all protocols remain in place.

OMHA has mandated that all eligible participants involved in minor hockey are to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by October 31, 2021.

  • All players born in 2009 or earlier must be double vaccinated by the 17th of October to ensure that they can continue to participate in hockey after October 31st
  • All rostered team staff and on ice volunteers must vaccinated under the same time line
  • During the week of October 18th we will be checking for proof of vaccination at the check in table
  • We will simply indicate on the team roster that proof of vaccine has been presented so that your child can be rostered by the OMHA
  • We will not be keeping any copy of your child’s proof of vaccine
  • Parents or companions are not part of this process as their status is not governed by the OMHA but by the policies of Public Health and Loyalist Township
