Return to Play February 1st
Submitted By Paul Proderick on Fri 01 28, 22
Once again we leave a lockdown and return to play. We hope to get back to play with an updated schedule which will be finalized in the next few days. Please remember to check the website for scheduling updates as they are quite fluid at present. Teams will return to their regular practice times starting February 1st. ICHL teams have been seeded for the next segment of games before the final tournament. EOMHL schedules are being updated within the timelines established by the OMHA as hopefully our teams move towards the Championship Tournaments in April. In any case we hope to schedule games right until the ice comes out to give kids a chance to catch up on missed games. Once again we thank you for your ongoing cooperation in these challenging times. Stay safe

This is a summary of the protocols as outlined by Loyalist Township and the Province of Ontario.

Participants/spectators are not permitted to enter the facility until a representative of LTMHA is present at the arena entrance to confirm screening and proof of vaccination/identification. All users will need to enter the facility using the arena entrance located at the West side of the facility. Doors will be opened twenty (20) minutes prior to the assigned ice time.

All individuals entering the facility are to wear a face covering/mask and abide by all facility procedures upon entry. Everyone entering the facility is to be screened for COVID 19. Any person who identifies as having any symptoms or fails the screening should not enter the facility. Everyone attending the facility must provide proof of vaccination and proof of identification as applicable based on the requirements as outlined below. Ontario requires the use of the enhanced vaccine certificate with QR code. Vaccine receipts without a QR code are no longer accepted. Paper copies or copies on a phone are acceptable. We are no longer required to keep contact tracing lists.

Anyone under the age of 12 accessing the facility for any purpose. Anyone born in 2010 and who are 12 years and 12 weeks of age or younger. Not required Children under twelve (12) years of age are not permitted to enter the facility without a fully vaccinated adult.

*Any individual who is medically exempt should be prepared to show proof of identification and proof of medical exemption before they can enter the facility each visit. Any individual who is exempt based on age should be prepared to show proof of birth date each visit if requested.

Change rooms are open with a capacity of twelve (12) per room. Participants are strongly encouraged to come to the arena with as much gear on as safely possible, to ensure that all participants are ready to participate in time for the start of the ice time. After assisting a participant with putting on their skates, spectators must locate in the designated areas in the stands. Once a participant is done in the changing room, they should proceed to the bottom of the stands to free up space in the changing room. Do not wait in the hallway, lobby, or mezzanine.

Participants must vacate the dressing rooms twenty (20) minutes after they are off the ice. No loitering and or congregating in the facility. Showers are available.

Spectators must vacate the facility immediately following the booking, unless they are assisting a participant with removing their skates. No loitering and or congregating in the facility including in any lobby areas.

Food and beverage Food and beverage will be permitted in the facility. Spectators are only permitted to consume food and beverage while seated in the stands and must maintain physical distancing to remove their face covering/mask. The water bottle filling station is available upon entry to the arena. Flow of traffic It is imperative that all guests of the facility refrain from loitering or congregating and adhere to the time limits for entry and exit.
