OHF player movement regulations:
New this season, OHF has introduced the new Player Movement Regulations. Players
in U9 and up will have the opportunity to participate with the association of their choice
regardless of category (AAA, AA, A, BB, B, etc.).
As per the Player Movement Regulations, LTMHA can establish internal restrictions,
policies, guidelines on the players attending LTMHA tryouts, but LTMHA cannot restrict
a player within the LTMHA boundaries to attend tryouts at a different association unless
they are not in good standing (for example, if fees are unpaid).
LTMHA Tryout Guidelines:
LTMHA has set the following restrictions: The number of imports for U11, U13, U15,
U16 will be a maximum of 5 per team, based on each team taking a roster of 2 goalies +
15 players. All roster decisions are subject to board approval. U9 and U18 restrictions
will be set in the fall before those tryouts commence.
It is the LTMHA policy that each player who registers for a tryout is guaranteed 2
evaluation skates. Players must attend at least 1 tryout for their desired team in order to
be considered for an LTMHA rep team.
Players that decide to join the tryouts late are not guaranteed any number of skates
and registration cost is the same with no discounts or refunds.
If a player would like to be considered as an Affiliated Player, they must also register,
pay for, and attend that team’s tryouts.
Per OMHA guidelines for tryouts, an offer of commitment may be made to a player after
the first tryout. This offer links to the LTMHA registration page where you will have the
option to pay the season fees in full or choose to pay a deposit and set up a payment
plan. If registration online is not completed within 24 hours of sending the link, the offer
may be rescinded. Per OHF rules, accepting and signing an offer of commitment binds
you to the team and you cannot sign with another team.
Tryout exemptions:
Players must attend tryouts to be eligible to be rostered to an LTMHA rep team.
Request for an exemption from participating in a tryout(s) due to injury or illness must
be submitted directly to the Hockey Development Coordinator, Rep Coordinator and
Head Coach prior to the first tryout.
Tryout refunds:
There will be no refunds for any reason other than injury and/or medical reasons. If a
player chooses to attend tryouts simultaneously with LTMHA and a different association
and accepts a roster spot on a different association prior to the conclusion of LTMHA’s
tryouts, there will be no refunds provided.
